MelodyTrace's privacy model is simple: your files are processed in your browser and never uploaded to any server. Here is the fine print.
What we process
Audio, video, MIDI and SoundFont files: processed entirely on your device. Decoding, transcription, synthesis and encoding all happen inside your browser; file contents are never transmitted, stored or logged.
The transcription model: model weights are downloaded from this site once and cached in your browser, after which the tool works offline.
Local storage
We keep a few preferences in your browser's localStorage: color theme, language choice, and (if you use the sign-in page) a local session marker. This data lives only on your device and disappears when you clear browser data.
Server logs
This is a static site. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may keep standard anonymous access logs (such as IP address and request path) for security and performance. These logs never contain your file contents.
Third parties
We embed no analytics or advertising trackers. If we ever add an essential third-party service (such as payments), it will be listed here and this policy will be updated.
Children
The site is for a general audience and collects no personal information, so there is nothing special to handle.
Changes
Material changes to this policy will be reflected in the date above and highlighted on this page.
