What is MusicXML to MIDI conversion?
Scores written in MusicXML — from MuseScore, Sibelius, Finale or a website — become MIDI files you can audition and edit here, entirely in the browser.
MusicXML describes notation: staves, noteheads, ties, dynamics. MIDI describes events: note on, note off, velocity. Conversion walks the score part by part, measure by measure, turning written symbols into timed events — humanizing nothing, guessing nothing.
Tips for better results
- Preview on the roll or staff before exporting.
- Keep the original file untouched; export to a new name.
- Quantize gently — one grid step is usually enough.
- For notation, clean outliers on the roll first.
